1973 Williams Gulfstream
This machine was fairly close to home, and was dead on-site when I looked at it. After cleaning up the mechanics, and the jones plugs, I got it to a working state, with several errors still to sort out. It was blowing fuses as it had a short in the DC circuit, and needed several adjustments sorted out. The play field was completely stripped, cleaned and waxed multiple times. All the ball guides and kick-out hole plastics were replaced, and the pop bumpers and flippers were rebuilt. Because William's used DC voltage for the pop bumpers and sling shots, this is a very fast game. While it looks easy, it's difficult to get the numbers lined up in a row, providing an opportunity to earn an extra ball. If you light the letters in Special, you also have a chance at a free ball. We find this game challenging, fast, and really fun. This machine will remain in our arcade.
