1954 United "Eastern" League Shuffle Alley.
This shuffle alley was refurbished. The difference between refurbishing a machine, and restoring a machine comes down to whether the cabinet paint is in good enough shape, and whether the machine is worth the labor after completed. I generally restore a shuffle alley to fully functional condition, although I have some waiting for repair that are worth going through the effort of painting the artwork back on. This Shuffle alley was purchased from a gentleman who's family had been in the vending business. This machine took about 50 hours to restore. All paint was detailed and years of grime removed, all mechanics were cleaned and adjusted, making it fully functional.
This machine has the unique feature of "team" scoring, which basically would add the team scores together, at the top, in the "Totalizer" scoring reels. It also adds scores differently than regulation bowling. This is a fun shuffle alley when you play with others in teams, as it was designed for.
UPDATE: This machine was sold in October, 2012.
