1966 Chicago Coin Kicker
I got this Chicago Coin Kicker recently, and someone had already painted the cab, and did a decent job. It was "shopped" by someone before me, but the bands were incorrect, and the inserts were recessed into the playfield. After stripping the play field and cleaning it better, leveling the inserts, and waxing the board, this is now a super fast playing machine.
Someone before me also thought it would be a good idea to glue the back glass against the board in the head, which caused some flaking. This makes changing the bulbs a bit more challenging as well, but the sockets can be pulled from the back if needed. This machine has back glass animation. If the Red or Blue are lit, you can score 100 points at the bottom of the playfield by "kicking the ball" up the lane, which hits the target, both scoring 100 points, and kicking an animated ball up the back glass. This is a very fast EM machine, and challenging to get the "thousand" score reel involved in a game! Overall this machine displays nicely, and after rebuilding the score reels, is very smooth. We've had a lot of games on this, and it's definitely a game worth having in any EM pinball collection. |
